GCES Clubs
We encourage students at Graham Creek Elementary to participate in extracurricular activities. These activities provide an outlet to explore new interests, learn valuable skills, meet like-minded peers, and see a world of possibilities.
Current Club Offerings
Students at Graham Creek Elementary have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities including:
Archery Club
We will meet during a scheduled time to prepare for our annual archery tournament. This club is for 3rd graders, introducing them to archery skills and preparing them to try out for the team in the 4th and 5th grade.
Art Club
Art club explores and creates a variety of art. For fifth and sixth graders, art club expands on what we learn in class.
Ethnic Diversity Club
This club, open to all students, explores ethnic diversity and promotes the idea that it is okay to be different. We meet once a month.
Gardening Club
Our Gardening Club cares for our flower gardens while learning about gardening and horticulture. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month. Please see the newsletter for monthly club dates. This club is open to all students.
Math Bowl
Math Bowl is a team of students in fourth through sixth grades who love math and meet to prepare for Math Bowl competition. We begin practicing in December.
Running Club
Each spring, running club students practice and prepare for the annual GCE Fun Run. All students are welcome.
Spell Bowl
Our Spell Bowl team is comprised of students in fourth through sixth grade who demonstrate excellent spelling skills. This team meets weekly during the first semester of school to prepare for the annual district Spell Bowl competition.
STEM Club
Our STEM club is for third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. Students in this club design and build robots to take to local competitions.
Student Council
The goal of student council is to promote leadership within our school by teaching fourth through sixth-grade students to be good role models and productive citizens. This group is in charge of coordinating community service projects throughout the year and meets twice a month. Our student council has been recognized as an Honor Council (at the state level) since 2003.
Technology Club
Tech club meets on the last Wednesday of each month and is open to students in grades three through six.
